Development in Supervision Needs Scale for Psychotherapists Using Media

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study is to develop scale that can actualize specific demand or expectation for supervision in psychotherapists of using media and can evaluate supervision. For this objective, the open questionnaire was carried out targeting 16 psychotherapists who have experience of supervision. Items were developed through CQR. A questionnaire survey was conducted in 106 people for exploratory factor analysis and 127 people for confirmatory factor analysis. First, psychotherapists" supervision needs were developed 109 items. Second, through exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, it was finally developed 43 items for 5 sub-factors in therapist competency & parent counseling, therapeutic progression procedure, therapist education, problematic situation, and therapeutic feedback. The whole reliability of the scale is .840. The content validity of having been rated by expert was judged to be good in the whole items. As for significance of a study, it will be utilized as basic data in offering more effective psychotherapeutic service client and their parents & family members by applying therapeutic factors of media with having professionalism as a therapist.
